Quantum Swansea LLP has recently installed Swansea University as a tenant at its property in Princess Way, Swansea. The space is being used as part of the Oriel Science outreach and public engagement gallery, showcasing the wonders of science through hands-on exhibits, and will be open until January 2017.

This is in partnership with Swansea University’s College of Science, using snapshots of the University’s research, along with related exhibits, to engage, educate and enthuse.

The first exhibition “The Story of Time” was opened on 10th September by George Abbey, who has had a long and distinguished career with NASA, and the Vice Chancellor of Swansea University, Richard Davies, and has been exceptionally well received. Exhibits included a mock up of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, and a DeLorean.

Michael Butcher, Commercial Financial Director of Quantum Group, said:

“We are delighted to have Swansea University as a tenant at Princess Way. We believe that Landlords have a critical responsibility to ensuring the vibrancy of urban areas and we’re delighted to be able to work with Swansea University on this project. The Oriel Science gallery is certainly an interesting and novel addition to Swansea’s offering – it’s not often that a Landlord gets to park a DeLorean in one of their units! – and we look forward to seeing the development of the gallery over the coming months.”
