In one of Dorset’s premier locations, Quantum acquired two detached houses with mature gardens and many protected trees.

Our initial assessment identified that the large plots provided an ideal opportunity for infill development, due to a significant housing shortage, evidenced in the town’s local plan.

A typical approach to high density development doesn’t maximise value. Quantum challenged this convention, using intelligent and thoughtful design to optimise form and function, creating a high density residential development of over 20,000 sq ft, to replace the previous dwellings of under 3,000 sq ft.

The completed scheme retains a verdant setting with mature landscaping, intimate courtyards and entrances, private gardens and many a new replanted trees.

Quantum achieved twice the density and more than £100 sq ft greater value (30% more) than a volume house builder on an adjacent development within the same location.

Maximise future value
